What's your manifesto? Science impact in the Anthropocene
Catherine Kerr is a Coastal Engineer, Science Communicator and Geographical Educator. She has a Marine Science Degree from the University of Sydney, a Masters in Coastal Engineering and Management from UNSW, and a Diploma of Education in Geography from Southern Cross University. She is passionate about climate change and believes in the power of multi-disciplinary collaboration and life centred design to communicate, educate, and drive the transition to a climate secure and socially just future. Most recently she has been leading the Adaptation Knowledge team within Office of Energy and Climate Change to design a range of products, services and experiences that change behaviour and enable NSW to adapt to climate change. She commenced her career as a surfing instructor at Manly Surf School and has worked for the Queensland and NSW Governments for over 15 years. She lives in Northern NSW with her young family and loves to surf, camp and hike whenever she can.
