The Australian Coastal Dynamics Research Network proudly announces the 5th Australasian Young Coastal Scientists and Engineers Conference (AusYCSEC), set to inspire and connect the next generation of coastal innovators. Scheduled for October 2024, this gathering promises to be a pivotal event for students, early career researchers, and young professionals in coastal geoscience and engineering.

AusYCSEC offers a unique platform where emerging talents can showcase their research amidst a supportive community of peers and seasoned experts. It’s more than just a conference; it’s a catalyst for forging lasting connections across disciplines and sectors, bridging academia, industry, and government.

Embracing the breadth of coastal geoscience and engineering, from physical processes to social impacts, AusYCSEC will delve into critical topics such as climate change effects, wave dynamics, coastal structures, and sustainable management practices. Attendees can anticipate enriching keynote addresses, engaging delegate presentations, and opportunities for professional growth through workshops and field excursions.

We welcome the opportunity to learn from First Nations perspectives across all of the themes. We encourage submissions from First Nations presenters, or abstracts that include traditional knowledge and perspectives

By submitting an abstract to AusYCSEC2024, if your abstract is accepted, you agree to have your abstract uploaded on the AusYCSE2024 website after the conference for public viewing.
