The 6th Australasian Young Coastal Scientist & Engineers Conference 2025 Central Hub will be held at the St Kilda Town Hall, in Melbourne, Victoria. 

It’s located on the corner of Brighton Road and Carlisle Street, St Kilda, at 99A Carlisle Street, St Kilda 3182.

Getting There

Public Transport

The St Kilda Townhall is conveniently located in south-east Melbourne, with public transport options of the tram and train.  

The closest tram station is 35-Carlisle St/St Kilda Rd, about 200m from the Central Hub. Route 67 leads directly from the Melbourne CBD to the conference venue. https://www.ptv.vic.gov.au/route/913/67/  

For train travel, the Central Hub is located approximately 550 m from Balaclava Train Station.

Flying In

The venue is located in south-east Melbourne, which is serviced by Melbourne (Tullamarine) Airport. 

The Melbourne City Express provides transport from Melbourne Airport to the Melbourne Central Business District. 

Total transport time from Melbourne Airport to the Central Hub (St Kilda Townhall) is approximately 1.5 hours. 

Accessibility

Trams and trains serving the area are wheelchair and pram-friendly, ensuring convenient transportation for all passengers.

St Kilda Town Hall has four accessible car park spaces, two on Carlisle Street and two that are off-road in the Brighton Road service lane car park. There is also an underground car park, which is accessible from Carlisle Street. The underground car park is open during business hours and has accessible parking spaces located next to the lift. There are accessible toilet facilities located onsite, and the conference will be held on the ground floor.

Additionally, hearing loops are provided in the St Kilda Town Hall. Please let us know if you require these arrangements and we will coordinate this for you. 

These facilities ensure that everyone can comfortably access the venue and participate in the event.

Staying Locally

There are multiple accommodation options in St Kilda and in Melbourne CBD. We recommend staying somewhere with public transport options available for quick and easy access to the St Kilda Townhall. 

Arriving By Car

There is limited parking available in nearby residential streets, however, it may be timed or otherwise restricted parking. Additional underground (paid) parking is available.
